Tonight's Game

Image
The annual knock on doors and ask for candy routine went down tonight.   Sadly, we are down 2 of our players though. The remaining 3 rallied for a good finish, but the older two members of the team were missed.  Tonight's team consisted of a cute little puppy (easy to make, and easy to keep warm!!), a snow queen, alias Elsa. (Strangely enough, we saw a lot of these Elsa characters tonight) and an unknown movie starlet. The head coaches managed to get a good mile out of the 3 players, who did not complain until the final stretch. And then it was only the youngest saying, "my legs are tired." We were fortunate to not have rain! Hurrah! And thankfully the administration knew to bundle up. It's one of the prerequisites of the night's uniform. Now that the team has headed to the bunks, it's time to "sort" the night's winnings.

The past holiday

I know, I am slow on getting these out. But I am sure I can find a reason... I'll blame it on the computer again. trying to figure out this new machine has been vexing. So the girls went trick-or-treating this year. It was Little K's very first time. I wasn't sure how she would do, if she would get scared at all, or freeze up and say nothing. No worries though. After plenty of coaching from older sisters, Little K ran right up to the first door and said Trick or Treat" quite loudly. And a Thank you without prompting even. That made me smile. And after that there was no stopping her or her sisters. Little K kept asking for "another house!" How could I refuse the little princess? Well I did eventually and we headed home after about an hour of walking. The next girl in line made herself in to a cowgirl. No boots that fit her this year, but that didn't deter her. She had a lot of fun anyway. The princess Bride thoroughly enjoyed the dress...

What A Weekend

Image
I think I have just recovered from the weekend. Yeah, it's Tuesday night ... but that's what it took. Since Friday was Birthday Day, we also celebrated on Saturday. And Sunday. It's all about birthday week around here. Here's the cool stamp kit the 11 year old received on Sat. night's celebration. I'm itchin' to make some cards now! Sunday after church - we headed over to my brother's house for the annual pumpkin carving party. In which the Birthday girl received more cake, more gifts, more singing, more birthday wishes. I just had to show you the Creative One this year. My brother carved some pumpkin shoes. And then proceeded to put them on and walk in them. Did you know the engineering gene is dominant in our family? And I couldn't resist showing this cute bunny! My little niece and her mom made this one! I just happen to love bunnies too. Of course, the great pumpkin roll - 2nd Annual I believe - was held on the hill. ...
