It was my birthday yesterday and
I got to go to the beach!! (can you tell it's the Oregon coast by this picture?!)
It was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
My sisters helped with the kids,
I got a free lunch out without the children, and I got to be on the beach - sunshine,
happy smiling children, sand in my toes, (and a wee bit of wind).
The 4 older kids built sandcastles and birthday cakes for me.
We ran up and down a sand dune (me, only once, but they did it over and over again.)
The day made turning a year older much easier.
Life is full of Surprises
So here's one picture from my birthday that I *forgot* to put on that post last month. Surprise! I have had mixed feelings about this for some time. But after my first doctor's appointment this week, I am much more positive about this big change in our lives. We finally told our other 4 what was going on. Now they understand, maybe, a little bit more why Mom is always on the couch sleeping. And they are super excited. I don't think they remember what is was like 4 years ago when the youngest was born and made SO much noise... Of course, she still makes a lot of noise, just a different kind.
Happy Birthday! What a fun way to spend celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Julie. Sorry I'm late, but was thinking of you. Glad you got a chance to get away for the day.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect day was enjoyed by all! Sam and Sarah look bigger each time... but then, so do Rachel and Ben. Yikes! Enjoy your new 'school' year. ;)
